MVNO Planet (“we”, “us”) publishes mvnoplanet.com, an independent trade publication covering mobile virtual network operators, enablers and wholesale wireless in the United States. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a “Get Matched” request, request a directory listing, or use the contact form, we collect what you enter: typically your name, work email, company, and the details of your request. Forms include invisible anti-spam checks (a honeypot field and a submission token) that do not collect personal data.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site). Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address; we have not enabled advertising features. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) and our CDN and security provider (Cloudflare) keep standard server and security logs, including IP addresses, for a limited period.
How we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for; to introduce you to vendors when you submit a Get Matched request (we share only the details in your request, and only with providers relevant to it); to review and publish directory listings; to respond to messages; to keep the site secure and measure how it performs. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers that process data on our behalf: SendGrid (email delivery), Google (analytics), Cloudflare (CDN and security), Hostinger (hosting), and the newsletter platform we use to send the briefing. When you ask to be matched with providers, we pass your request to the vendors we introduce you to; from that point they handle your information under their own policies. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics), for security and performance (Cloudflare), and for basic site function (for example, remembering that you submitted a form). You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though some features may not.
Your choices and rights
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. If you are in the EU or UK, we process your data on the basis of your consent (newsletter) or our legitimate interest in running the publication, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Retention and security
Form submissions and subscriber records are kept for as long as needed for the purpose you submitted them, and analytics data follows Google’s retention settings (14 months). We use HTTPS throughout, keep administrative access limited, and rely on the security practices of the providers named above. No online service is perfectly secure.
Children
The site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
